It's a funny thing...
You know, it's kind of funny, but every time someone here asks where we're from and we reply "California" - they all say "Ah, sunshine" in a kind of wistful way. It makes me realize how much we take our sunny days for granted. We haven't really had a lot of rain on this trip, except for the one day in Dublin, but the temperatures have been a little chilly. Most days we've had a mix of sun and clouds with varying amounts of wind.

As one of our patients told me--"This is the reason that flowers last longer in Ireland--no sun to fade them." We had lots of beautiful days in Ireland--but we were there in July.
