Finally a picture of a place I can relate to. Ha ha. Pictures looking great shared your blog here at work today with everyone. Sounds like your having good time.
YAHOOO, I finally figured out how to reply to you--with a LOT of help from Mike. I'm with you on the Book of Kells issue. If you don't know the history behind something, you can't possibly appreciate it's true value. I also love attending worship service in these massive-old houses of God. The shear magnificent splendor along with the knowledge that you are walking in the footsteps of so many souls over the centuries, is a totally humbling experience. For some reason, I feel closer to God when I'm kneeling in a quiet side chapel, lighting a candle and having a conversation with my Lord among the tombs of those that have gone before. I hope you feel the same spiritual renewal that I experienced at Iona. Did you do a ghost walk in Dublin? Have a Guinness for me--PLEASE!!! Sheila
