One week to go! After planning and researching (and saving) for a year, it's hard to believe we're almost ready to begin our Ireland/Scotland trip. I've learned a lot from guidebooks and research on the web, but the really nitty-gritty, detailed help has come from a group of really nice folks on the Tripadvisor forum.  Research is great, but sometimes you just need to talk to a local person- someone who actually lives there.

I'm a list-maker, no gettting around that.  I've had multiple lists going for this trip: what to pack, what to see, which hotels were booked, lists of potential B&B's (see next paragraph), what needs to be done at home while we're gone....

The only list that isn't finished is the itinerary.  Contrary to my normal pattern, we've decided not to book accomodation in advance for every night.  (Yikes!) We want to be somewhat flexible if we find a place we just really love and want to linger there for a bit, we can do that.  Hope that works out! ;) 

Lots to do this week, so I'm glad I only have one more workday before we leave.  I have a feeling I'll be a little crazy by Monday.  :}
